The SealCTD product shows near real time location of seals equipped with CTD instruments, overlaid on SST maps and ice coverage. The dots in the maps represent the locations of seals (magenta) and Argo floats (cyan) that reached the surface at the date of plotting. Data access here.

The SST and sea ice area fraction data are obtained from REMSS (Remote Sensing Systems). The SST product used here contains data from microwave (MW) and infrared (IR) sensors, optimally interpolated onto a global grid by REMSS.
